Adriano sets sights on strong league season after first goal in two years

The former Inter striker struck in Atletico Paranaense's Copa Libertadores defeat to The Strongest and admits the feeling of finding the net again was "indescribable"

After scoring in La Paz this week, the 32-year-old - capped 48 times by Brazil - says he is relieved to have got back on the football pitch after a rigorous training programme.

"Scoring the goal [after two years] was an indescribable feeling," he was quoted as saying by Gazeta do Povo.

"I began playing now because a schedule was agreed on with the coach and club president. I had to be in my physical prime again and lose weight. I followed everything that was done, so I'm glad I started.

"Obviously we leave frustrated because no-one likes to lose. Now we have to stay relaxed, stay humble and focus on the Brasileirao."
